Mark Twain House & Museum

Harriet Beecher Stowe Center
Visit the home of the woman whose novel, Uncle Tom's Cabin, transformed America forever by changing the way each and every reader of this wildly popular book here and abroad viewed the institution of American slavery, which, at the time of the book's publication was still a way of life in the United States. In addition to penning this catalyzing novel, Stowe wrote more than 30 other works of fiction and was an amazing character all by herself.
