  • XL Center
    This is the place to get some NHL fun in at the always exciting Hartford Wolf Pack home games, feel the thrill of The Connecticut Huskies home basketball games, and experience the ultimate basketball throw-down during the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Tournament. Additional events at the XL Center include all kinds of concerts, family shows, ice-skating spectaculars, consumer events and trade shows. Upcoming 2010 events include the Monster Truck Jam, comedian Jeff Dunham, the 79th Annual Dog Show, Harlem Globetrotters, and Stars on Ice.

  • Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art
    If you're in the Hartford area for any length of time, however short, you will want to visit this museum. With massively impressive collections of European art, American Decorative Art, American Painting & Sculpture, Contemporary Art, Costume & Textiles, European Decorative Art and a tremendous selection of visiting exhibitions, including the portraits of Rembrandt, this is an art museum not to be missed.

  • Mark Twain House & Museum
    Author of numerous timeless American classics like Huckleberry Finn, Tom Sawyer, Life on the Mississippi, Innocents Abroad, Pudd'nhead Wilson, and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, Samuel L. Clemens, a.k.a. Mark Twain, is the original master of American parable, tragedy, history, social criticism, cultural satire, sardonic storytelling and impenetrable wit. Visit his famed home and adjacent museum, store and education center to learn all about the man behind the self-made character of Mark Twain at this incredible tribute to one of our country's greatest literary and cultural treasures.

  • Harriet Beecher Stowe Center
    Visit the home of the woman whose novel, Uncle Tom's Cabin, transformed America forever by changing the way each and every reader of this wildly popular book here and abroad viewed the institution of American slavery, which, at the time of the book's publication was still a way of life in the United States. In addition to penning this catalyzing novel, Stowe wrote more than 30 other works of fiction and was an amazing character all by herself. Learn all about her with a visit to her home and adjacent museum.

  • The Webster Theater
    This concert hall gives the city of Hartford a great lineup of local and international rock acts. Offering two stages—one for larger bands, another for up-and-coming groups—and is all ages.
